Four teenagers hurt in Torquay; one critical
Four 18-year-olds have been hit by a car in Torquay.
One young man is in a critical condition with life-threatening injuries at Derriford Hospital; another has serious leg and hip injuries and is also at Derriford.
They were on the pavement on Lymington Road in the town when they and two others were hit by a blue Vauxhall Tigra coupe just before 11pm on Friday. The vehicle then collided with a parked car and the driver fled on foot.
Armed police as well as roads police officer attended, along with crime scene investigators, including forensics, dogs and a police helicopter.
The condition of the other two teenagers is not known. Police need witnesses and dashcam footage. Call 101 quoting log 910 of 4 October if you can help. Calls cost 15 pence.
