Two teenagers have been arrested in Crediton after passers-by were threatened with knives. Armed police were called out to the town yesterday afternoon.
A large chopping knife and another with a serrated blade were seized.
Police would like to thank the driver of a car who swerved across the paths of the suspects to stop them as they were being chased by an officer.
