Fire crews were called to a barn fire in Talaton - near Feniton - last night.
Three engines attended from Ottery St Mary, Cullompton and Middlemoor.
One casualty was reported as suffering with smoke inhalation - an ambulance also attended the scene.
The barn was completely destroyed. The cause was deemed to be accidental.
