A health watchdog says the beavers living on an East Devon river won't harm humans.
Environmental group Friends of the Earth have put in a Freedom of Information request to Public Health England to discover the details.
Officials at DEFRA say they might be carrying a disease and need to be taken away and tested - But although the watchdog is concerned about the disease, it doesn't believe the beavers will increase the risk to humans.
