Teignbridge residents will soon have to pay if they want their garden waste collected.
The council is set to roll out a new recycling scheme in the autumn, and a leaflet detailing the changes will soon drop on to the mats of those living in the Teignbridge area.
The new scheme will see weekly collections of food, cardboard and mixed plastics collections; however residents will have to subscribe to garden waste collections which will cost 35 pounds a year.
The changes will start being rolled out in September, and a few weeks before that households will receive a new food waste container, re-useable paper sack and a guide and calendar.
Black bin collections wont change.
