Burglars disinfect their tracks
Police in Mid Devon are appealing for information after a spate of burglaries in September.
In each case, the break-ins have occurred at residential properties during the day and tools have been used to gain entry. The offenders have then used bleach or other cleaning products to cover their tracks. Police haven't revealed what property, if any, has been taken.
On two occasions, a silver Skoda Octavia was present with two or three occupants, and a false number plate was used.
Three burglaries occurred on Tuesday 8 September in Cullompton, Bradninch and Newton Poppleford, near Sidmouth. The day before there was Another burglary in Willand, near Cullompton.
Residents living in areas close to the M5 are reminded to ensure their homes are secure when going out and to report any suspicious activity to police.
