The decomposed body of a woman found off the North Devon coast on Friday lunchtime [2 August] remains unidentified.
Police were notified by Coastguard just before 1.50pm, after the body had been located in the sea 200 metres off the coast of Hele Bay, Ilfracombe.
Two lifeboats, HM Coastguard, HMCG helicopter and the police all attended.
Officers say the body was recovered and at this time remains unidentified, whilst enquiries continue to ascertain the identity of the woman.
