Police are working to identify the adult.
Part of Paignton seafront has been cordoned off this morning (Monday 16th September) after the discovery of a body.
Police and emergency services are on the scene after the body of an adult was found at around 7.10am in the Esplanade Road area.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
