The organisation representing older people in Devon has produced a free booklet for anyone seeking a care home for a relative.
Devon Senior Voice originally wrote the booklet for its own members but is now distributing it more widely.
The guide highlights the factors to take into account when choosing a care home and a checklist to help spot potential problems.
It also looks at alternatives to residential care such as extra-care housing.
