The donations box was stolen.
Libraries Unlimited, the charity which runs Devon's Libraries, has shared details of a break in at the weekend.
In a post on Facebook, it said it was "very sad" to report a break in on Sunday night, in which the contents of the donations box was taken.
It says as a charity it is "hard" to have lost these kinds of monies, which have been donated to support it's work.
It is now urging people to support them.
