Reports that nudists are being asked not to use a beach at Budleigh Salterton are being rejected by the town's mayor.
The nudists - who currently sunbathe on an area of the beach 500 metres from the town - had asked the town council if they could move 200 metres nearer, because erosion has left their patch without any pebbles.
But the council decided that the boundary should stay where it is, because Budleigh is a family resort and it wouldn't be appropriate to have nudists closer to the main town and beach areas.
