Traffic has queued for over two hours on a main route into Exeter, following a car fire at Bickleigh near Tiverton [21 November].
The fire service says the vehicle was completely destroyed just after 8am this morning, with the incident closing the A3072 road between Tiverton and Exeter.
In a statement, they added: "The cause of the fire was deemed as accidental ignition [...] the thatched property was not affected."
It caused significant disruption to the morning rush hour, with reports of lorries queuing for over two hours.
