It had failed to stop for police
A car has hit a number of pedestrians in Barnstaple.
Members of the public helped care for the victims before emergency services arrive following the incident at around 11.30 p.m. on Saturday.
Police say a black Vauxhall Astra had failed to stop for them and drove off down Well Street, through the tight gap between the building and a bollard and then turned left along Boutport Street. As the vehicle turned the corner it collided with the pedestrians.
They are asking for witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them, quoting log 994 of 28 January.
