Exeter City Council say they're seeking a possession order to ensure that caravans move off Ludwell Valley Park playing fields.
Two caravans and a towing vehicle moved on to the site yesterday and there were reports of a large bonfire there last night.
The city council says the area is clean and tidy and if there was a bonfire, there's no evidence of it.
The people on site told officials they were leaving today.
