A scheme helping elderly people in their communities is to receive extra funding from the local NHS.
Neighbourhood Healthwatch sets up teams of volunteers to keep an eye on more vulnerable residents, help them get to health appointments and support them in their homes.
It's up and running in 11 places including Newton St Cyres near Exeter.
The £10,000 funding will help keep the initiatives going and help with the setting-up of new ones.
