Exeter's Hospiscare charity have been told they can keep three and a half thousand pounds in cash which was left in a bag outside their shop in St Thomas.
The incident was reported to the police in case the money had been put there by mistake and wasn't intended as a donation.
But no-one's come forward to claim it so the cash has been handed over today.
Hospiscare's chief executive says she's overwhelmed by the mystery donor's generosity - and respects their wish to remain anonymous.
