Transferred to Bristol Children's Hospital
An 11-year-old child has significant head and pelvic injuries following a collision in Torquay.
Police say the incident involved a pedestrian and a Volkswagen Bora car on Queensway, Shiphay, Torquay on Thursday around 3.35 p.m. They're now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Police were called to reports of a collision at around 3.35pm involving and a child near the junction with Ben Jonson Close.
The child was initially taken to Torbay District Hospital before being transferred to Bristol Children’s Hospital for specialist treatment.
Queensway was closed for seven hours while police investigated the circumstances.
