Shaun the Sheep stolen
Ewe won't believe it, but Shaun the Sheep has been nabbed from a South Devon village.
The life-size replica of the famous animated ruminant disappeared overnight on Bank Holiday Monday into Tuesday. The sheep-stealers took bolt cutters to Shaun to liberate him from a post to prevent an escape (or a theft, as it turns out).
Kingsbridge Police say: "He's not worth a great deal of money, but to his owners and to the people of Chillington, he's priceless."
They want anyone who knows who the rustlers may be to get in touch, quoting reference CR/80268/18
And they're using the hashtag #findshaun on social media. You can't pull the wool over their eyes.
