Around 30 people are thought to be sleeping rough in Exeter.
The city council has just carried out an audit of street activity in the city, recording how many people were begging, selling the Big Issue, bedding down outside or taking drugs.
More than a hundred people were assessed and their housing situation was checked.
People needing help with housing can go to the charity St Petrocks - which says it sees many who are not from Exeter and have travelled to the city from other areas.
