An Exeter butcher who sold Danish gammon as locally produced meat has been fined 200 pounds.
Devon Trading Standards found the gammon on sale in Hartnell Fresh Foods in Longbrook Street.
Kevin Hollamby pleaded guilty to misleading customers by claiming the meat was local when in fact it was supplied by the Danish Bacon Company and came from Denmark.
Mr Hollamby, of Cherry Gardens, was also ordered to pay 400 pounds in costs.
