The number of people turning to Exeter's food bank because they can't afford to eat has more than doubled in a year.
In the 12 months to last December the bank fed just under a thousand people... between then and this month, it has fed more than two thousand five hundred.
Those in need of help are assessed by other organisations such as Age UK and the Citizens Advice Bureau... they're then given vouchers to exchange for the food supplies donated by local supermarket shoppers.
