Exeter is to benefit from 14 million pounds worth of spending on sports facilities over the next four years, thanks to a partnership between Exeter College and the local authorities.
The college is building a new sports hall at its Queen Street campus, costing six and a half million pounds, just over half of which is being paid by the Skills Funding Agency.
It's also going to work with Exeter City Council to provide a sports hub at the former Civil Service Club in Exwick, for use by students and club members.
And the college has agreed to manage the new five point six million pound outdoor education centre at Haven Banks, built and piad for by Devon county council.
