A congestion-style charge could be introduced for parts of Exeter in an attempt to cut congestion and reduce air pollution.
A draft Air Quality Action Plan has been launched by Exeter City Council this week, who are giving residents and businesses three months to comment on the plan.
Other proposals include investment in public transport, expansion of car clubs and electric bike schemes and charging some motorists for using parts of the city at certain times.
