Exeter Cathedral's not happy about plans for penthouses on top of a city centre hotel that's being rebuilt following a fire.
The Chapter of the Cathedral is worried about the harm they could do to the character of the area. They believe the rebuilt hotel will be a great benefit to the city, but regret the original appearance can't be authentically restored.
They also say they want a flag pole centrally placed behind the coat of arms.
The owners of the Clarence say they'll definitely have the flagstaff and the roof-scape isn't much different from what it was before.
