Thousands of people in mid-Devon have received council tax bills which are too high, following an admin error.
Mid Devon district council have apologised for the error which is leading to people being billed up to five pounds too much.
Everyone's being asked to make payments in the normal way ... and they'll soon receive a bill for the correct amount.
Future payments will then be adjusted downwards so that the right amount is collected during the course of the year.
