An Exmouth father's campaign for a change in the organ donor system, following the death of his daughter while she waited for a transplant, is being supported by the district council.
All this week Steve Gazzard has had a stall at the local authority's head quarters in Sidmouth, urging people to sign up as donors and support his online petiion.
His daughter Sarah died while on the list for a double lung transplant... and her father is campaigning for a presumed consent system of organ donation, to tackle the shortage which is costing many lives.
He is collecting signatures for an online petition calling for the change, and urging as many people as possible to sign up as organ donors.
