A local councillor's campaign to protect trees in east Devon has led to her being asked to work with the Woodland Trust, to help get more trees planted in the area.
Claire Wright, the independent East Devon councillor for Ottery Rural, will be encouraging communities to create and look after new areas of woodland.
She's also been trying to stop the destruction of ancient oaks in the West Hill by developers, who've been buying up land and destroying the trees before applying for planning permission.
