The Information Commissioner is to be asked to review a local council's decision not to release reports and minutes of private meetings on its controversial relocation plans.
A Freedom of Information request by Councillor Claire Wright has been refused by East Devon district council on the grounds that the reports contain commercially sensitive information.
She's concerned about the rising costs of its plans to relocate from its current premises in Sidmouth to a new building, possibly in Honiton, and thinks the public have a right to know the basis for decisions involving taxpayers' money
