Two men have been charged after hundreds of pounds worth of counterfeit banknotes were seized in Exeter.
Eighteen year old Alfonse Tourino and 25 year old Faried Irani, both from Portsmouth, were arrested after a stop-check in South Street yesterday morning.
Both are charged with having 940 pounds worth of counterfeit Scottish notes - Irani is also accused of passing a fake 20 pound note, and Tourino is also accused of breaching bail conditions.
Tourino was due before magistrates this morning, while Irani has been bailed to appear later this year.
