Proposals to cut the building space occupied by Devon county council by more than a third are being discussed this morning.
The council currently operates out of more than three hundred premises, not including schools.
The plan is to sell some of the buildings and introduce more flexible working arrangements for staff including desk-sharing.
County Hall and Great Moor House in Exeter will be retained, along with three other 'strategic' offices in Barnstaple, Totnes and Newton Abbot.
Each of Devon's towns will still have a base for community services and staff.
