WATCH: Creative marriage proposal on Exmouth beach
What better way to start the year than a marriage proposal.
The third national lockdown might have dampened some spirits - but for a local couple in Exmouth, they have something to smile about.
A man creatively asked his girlfriend to marry him on Saturday afternoon (30th January) with the help of a giant message written in the sand on Exmouth beach.
The message, embedded on the sand, simply read: "Will you marry me?"
When his shocked girlfriend saw the message from above, her partner got down on one knee to pop the question. Fortunately, his creative idea paid off - she said yes!
You can watch how it all unfolded in the short video above, captured by local resident Brynette Vikki.
