Exeter residents are being asked to put their hands in their pockets to help the city put on a spectacular display of Christmas lights this year.
A crowd-funding initiative's been launched with a target of eight thousand pounds.
People can pledge as little as five pounds - or a larger amount which will qualify them for rewards donated by local businesses and an invitation to the reception after the lights are switched on.
