Incident not suspicious
A GWR train out of London Paddington has hit a vehicle on a level crossing at Bradford on Tone near Taunton.
The 1837 service to Plymouth on Monday evening collided with a car at about 9pm. Whilst the train did not derail and no-one on board was hurt, the driver is said to be shaken.
British Transport Police attended and report that the car driver died at the scene.
Train services on the line between Exeter St Davids and Taunton were disrupted through to about 9am on Christmas Eve.
