Thousands of people are expected at the event
Celebrations began at County Hall to mark to start of Exeter Pride.
Councillors and organisers of the event gathered at the headquarters of Devon County Council to raise a flag ahead of the event.
Thousands of people are expected to flock to the city on Saturday.
The annual Pride event takes place in the city centre and organisers say nearly 10,000 people will be in attendance and the day kicks off with a parade from Sidwell Street at midday.
There is also set to be plenty of activities around the city, including Rougemont Gardens, the Royal Albert Memorial Museum, the Art Gallery and at the Exeter Phoenix.
