A bask of crocodiles living in Devon would like their swamp back so they can lick their lips at people staring at them.
So Paignton Zoo is setting out to reassure the ravenous reptiles they're working on it.
The zoo's crocodile swamp, a walkthrough exhibit (visitors do the walking; the crocs just swim and smile), closed in 2022 because it needed a lot of repairs and cash was short.
It still is. So the Wild Planet Trust, which runs the zoo, has launched a 'Bring back the swamp' fundraising campaign with a target of £15,000.
The repair work will include the construction of a new entrance ramp, alongside upgrades and modifications to the interior.

Stephen Kings, interim executive chair of the trust, said: "Croc Swamp holds a significant place in the memories of our visitors. We call upon our supporters to help us reach our goal. Any amount, no matter the size, will make a huge difference and ensure that Paignton Zoo remains a vital centre for conservation, education, and family enjoyment for generations to come.”
If you can help the zoo meet its target, you will make some crocodiles very happy.
