Clean shave for Dave
A former Royal Marine from Okehampton is shaving his moustache of 50 years to raise funds for charity.
Rob Erwin started growing his face furniture when he was 18 to look more fashionable and older, and it's been a major part of his identity since 1975.
He served for 25 years with deployments to Iraq, the Falklands, and Northern Ireland. He retired in 1997 and then joined the Naval Career Service until 2015.
Dave’s hoping to generate several hundred pounds for the Royal Marines Charity and Movember, a men's mental health charity.
His friends and family have been really supportive, and he hopes this will inspire others to raise money for causes they care about.
His son, Chris, will perform the shave at the Okehampton Rugby Club on November 29th.
