It's been revealed dozens of beds could be cut from Devon's cottage hospitals.
The Northern, Eastern and Western Devon CCG are meeting next week to decide whether to move towards a community based approach to healthcare.
A total of seventy two beds are in jeopardy.
Hospitals in Tiverton, Exmouth, Sidmouth, Whipton in Exeter and Seaton could see a reduction in beds and Honiton and Okehampton could lose them completely.
Doctor David Jenner, from the group, says it's not just about balancing the books.
