It happened on the Devon/Somerset border on Tuesday lunchtime.
Avon and Somerset Police is looking for witnesses and dashcam footage after a crash on the A38 yesterday (Tuesday 8th October).
It happened near The Beambridge Inn pub between Tiverton and Wellington.
It's thought the car went underneath the lorry.
The driver of the car suffered serious injuries and sadly died shortly afterwards.
The lorry driver was taken to the Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton – his injuries are not believed to be life changing or life threatening.
The road was closed to allow an examination by collision investigators.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who was travelling along the A38 around the time of the incident who may have information or dash cam working at the time.
