Passenger in hospital
A man has died following a crash near Sidmouth last week.
A black Renault Clio and a blue VW Exclusive collided on Friday afternoon on the main A3052 Exeter to Sidmouth road.
The driver of the Clio, who has since been named as 89-year-old Victor Smith from Seaton, was taken to Derriford Hospital with serious injuries where he later died. His next of kin have been informed.
His passenger, a woman in her eighties, remains in hospital.
The driver of the VW, a man in his seventies, was also taken to Derriford, but with less serious injuries and has since returned home.
The road was closed for eight hours for an investigation. Police are appealing for witnesses.
