New 'Powderham Presents' festival
Legendary eighties' band Duran Duran are to perform at Powderham Castle next summer.
The show, on Thursday 3 July, is one of only two UK headline shows for the band in 2025.
The multi-award-winning group will headline Powderham Presents, a brand-new music festival bringing world-class acts to Devon. Joining them are Nile Rodgers & Chic, the disco legends behind chart-topping anthems like Le Freak and Good Times.
Mr Rodgers collaborated with Duran Duran on their UK number-one hit The Reflex.
With a capacity of up to 25,000 people per day, the organisers say Powderham Presents "will create a vibrant summer spectacle".
Speaking about the event, Live Nation promoter Oliver Mason, who lives locally, said: "To bring a stadium-filling, iconic band like Duran Duran, with such massive hits, to Devon is incredibly exciting. Adding Nile Rodgers & Chic to the lineup makes this an extraordinary night not to be missed. This event will bring a fantastic buzz to Exeter and be a huge boost for the local economy. I can’t wait!"
Duran Duran’s career spans over four decades, with accolades including two Grammy awards, two Brit awards, and an Ivor Novello for Outstanding Contribution to British Music. Fans can expect a set-list packed with classics like Hungry Like the Wolf, Ordinary World, and Rio.
Separately, Nile Rodgers, a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee and Lifetime Achievement Grammy award-winner in 2023, has produced music for superstars like Beyoncé, Madonna, and Daft Punk.
Tickets for Powderham Presents go on sale on Friday 6 December.
