Devon and Cornwall police have confirmed that another force will investigate allegations about their new Commissioner, Alison Hernandez.
The claims relate to the time last year when she was acting as election agent to the Conservative candidate Kevin Foster, who was elected as Torbay MP.
It's alleged that he and several other Tories failed to declare all their election campaign spending, which is illegal.
The MPs and Ms Hernandez deny any wrongdoing.
Devon and Cornwall police were previously investigating the claims - they now say all allegations relating to election spending in their patch will be transferred to another force.
