The man, who's in charge of the Exeter Chiefs Rugby Club, is to receive an honorary degree from the city's University.
Tony Rowe along with three others will get the award today.
In total more than four thousand people will graduate from Exeter University this week...they'll be personally greeted by the Chancellor, Baroness Floella Benjamin - She'll be presiding over seventeen ceremonies.
Meanwhile fourteen people will receive honorary degrees this week....four of them today. Tony Rowe, the Chairman and Chief Executive, of the Exeter Chiefs gets his award this afternoon alongside Roy Pike, the former head of Torquay boys grammar school...Sir Mark Walport, the government's Chief Scientific Adviser, has received an honorary doctorate of science this morning...along with Professor Teresa Rees, from Cardiff University, who gets a an honorary doctorate of law.
The ceremony is taking place in the Great Hall.
