There's been an attack on the Govenment's welfare reforms - from local church representatives.
Members of the Diocese of Exeter joined other south-west churches for a conference on food poverty and justice - where they agreed to call for an enquiry into contemporary poverty in Britain.
Church leaders said food banks were reporting that the Government's bedroom tax is forcing many people into hardship.
They also spoke of the need to tackle 'poverty myths' and the label of scroungers - often applied to people disadvantaged by poor education and restricted employment opportunities
