At least four people injured
Two collisions in Exeter on Friday evening led to traffic chaos in parts of the city.
A two-vehicle incident around 6.40 p.m. near Darts Farm between the Bridge Inn at Topsham and Clyst St George led to a large car fire.
Fire crews attended from Exmouth, along with police. Four people were injured of which three were taken to hospital by family members, and one waited for an ambulance. None of the injuries are believed to be serious.
Police closed the road for an investigation to take place.
Another collision around the same time at the Sandygate roundabout near the M5 involved four vehicles.
On the last Friday before most schools reopen, roads have been very busy as holidaymakers begin the journey home.
