Latest economic figures for Exeter seem to indicate that the city's moving out of recession. Businesses are reporting better sales and profits.
The latest Exeter Business survey shows the number reporting an increase in sales is the highest it's ever been... and reported profit margins are the highest since March 2007.
The level of business confidence is also the best since 2007.
40 per cent said they were planning on taking on new staff in the future, and 45 per cent intended to make further investment.
And in terms of the recent floods and transport problems, the survey results showed that Exeter has remained open for business
