WATCH: Thousands attend 16th festival to watch the region’s top culinary talent in action
The Exeter Food Festival, that celebrates the outstanding food and drink of the south west, is taking place this weekend at Northernhay Gardens.
Organisers of the festival announced a star-studded line up of chefs and producers for the May bank holiday event including, Mitch Tonks, Michael Caines, Gareth Howarth and Josh Eggleton.
The annual food and festival sees thousands of foodies flock to Exeter Castle and Northernhay Gardens to indulge in regional produce and see the region’s top culinary talent in action.
Speaking about this year's event founder of the festival Michael Caines said: "The south west is one of the biggest food regions in the UK. It's important that we celebrate everything that's going on in the south west in terms of food, tourism and farming. We're trying to encourage and educate people to eat and buy local.
"During the weekend we also have a brilliant line-up of live music. In the evening, as part of our Exeter Beats music event, Scott Mills, Nick Grimshaw and Radio Exe will be performing."
