Connecting Devon with Newcastle too
Exeter is connected to Scotland and the north east of England by air once more after flights recommenced this week.
Scottish airline LoganAir now flies between Exeter and Glasgow and Newcastle.
After the collapse of Exeter-based Flybe just before lockdown in March 2020, LoganAir is now the UK's biggest regional airline.
Plans had been in place to start the new services before both England and Scotland lockdown down again at the start of this year. Passengers using the first services on Monday were both thrilled and relieved to be travelling once more.
International routes are not yet available from Exeter Airport, but its owners say that may change in the summer. All but one of Flybe's former routs have been acquired by other operators. The Flybe brand itself has been acquired by a new company.
