The Exeter organisation which staged the south west's first conference on knife crime earlier this year is among the groups awarded funding from the Police and Crime Commissioner's small grants scheme.
SOS Global, which promotes positive lifestyles for young people, has received the maximum five thousand pound grant.
Other Exeter organisations given money include Community Housing Aid and Mencap - and many other groups working across the whole of Devon have also benefited.
They were invited to apply for grants for projects which would reduce crime or make communities safer.
