Officers have released footage of a man they wish to identify following a number of deliberate fires.
There have been 14 incidents since August.
Many of the linked incidents have involved hedges and foliage close to properties and all have taken place in neighbourhoods in the early hours of the morning.
Some of the areas targeted include Stoke Hill, Summerway, Whipton and Pinhoe.
