Police in Exeter have been targeting drivers breaking the law, after several complaints by local residents.
The crackdown has resulted in a number of motorists being penalised for drink-driving, speeding, having defective vehicles or no insurance, or general anti-social behaviour on the road.
Police say they were responding to obvious concern about irresponsible motorists, as evidenced by the complaints made to local councillors or reported to officers directly.
